Corporate employees and limited speech on the open internet

Something I’ve been thinking about lately is how my online #behavior changed as a result of being an entrepreneur rather than an corporate employee

I tried to write a ramble on it before that I’ve deleted. But now that I’ve had more time to think about it, it’s a serious issue 🥲

When is professionals do not have financial security we feel #limited in what we can say and what we can not on social media. However when we feel we have long-term financial security we can actually speak freely and directly on the internet.

I wonder how many of us are holding back from saying what we think and feel — the really important stuff which can #impact society in our professional circles. Talking to other professionals about areas of paramount importance provides vital feedback or direction! There are some major things people are working on here that are genuinely critical for the survival of the human race. The corporal thoughts, opinions as well as general vibes of educated professionals are more heavily weighted than the general public in these matters. And rightly so!

Therefore there is in my opinion actually a big #taboo topic of why we are not able to converse freely about these things. In a way the medium of social media has made it out of bounds to say ~certain~ things when you know and automated system will later use your #words to rank your future job application against those who have said less. Not to mention that machines have a very poor understanding of the nuance the human endeavor ( for example YouTube flagged me the other day for using the common phrase of F P — which you will immediately understand if you are following putins invasion if Ukraine 🇺🇦 )

So it follows:

What are your thoughts on this?

Are you experiencing this currently? ( blink twice if you don’t want to say more in the comments like this 😉😉 )

What is to be done?

)’( Here’s a picture of a bike from 🔥 Burning Man to show that I really do mean business 🙂
