Dear [Elected Representative],
I am writing to express my deep concern over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where Russian aggression has resulted in over 500,000 casualties. Despite this staggering loss of life, czar putin persists in dragging out his war in the hopes of receiving a ceasefire that would solidify his control over unlawfully seized Ukrainian territory. Such an agreement cannot be tolerated, as it would signal to the world that land grabs through military force are effective, thereby undermining global security and stability.
Accepting a ceasefire that allows Russia to retain control of annexed Ukrainian lands would be tantamount to endorsing putin’s torture and systemic genocide of Ukrainians. It is imperative that we stand firm on the restoration of Ukraine’s full territorial integrity according to the 1991 borders, including Crimea. To do otherwise would grant putin and other dictators free rein to perpetuate attrocities in other countries across the world.
Furthermore, the ruzzian military continues to commit daily acts of terrorism against civilians, including children. Recent reports from Kharkiv highlight instances of torture and arbitrary executions, alongside double attacks on civilian areas that indiscriminately target non-combatants including emergency responders. Such actions underscore the urgent need for the US to provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons to defend its airspace and protect its people from these daily terrorist attacks.
I also urge you to consider designating ruzzia as a terrorist organization. The deliberate targeting of civilians, including children, reveals a strategy aimed solely at spreading fear and chaos among peaceful Europeans. There is no valid military justification for these actions whatsoever, and they must be condemned unequivocally and internationally!
In closing, I want to thank you and your colleagues for your continued support of Ukraine. My family in Ukraine deeply appreciates your efforts and the billions of aid provided thus far. It is crucial that we expedite the delivery of as much of this aid as possible. Additionally we should put together a defence shield against terrorist attacks in Ukraines sky just like we did with Israel to prevent daily civilian deaths. I trust you will take these concerns to heart and continue to advocate for a robust and timely response to this dire situation ( preferably prior to November )
