Dear [Elected Representative],

The brutal murder of Alexei Navalny, a beacon of hope for a free Russia, cannot be met with limited sanctions. His death serves as a stark reminder of the oppressive regime gripping Russia and the urgency of action in Ukraine. We must honor Navalny’s legacy by demanding justice and taking decisive steps to cripple Putin’s war machine and support Ukraine’s army!

Navalny’s unwavering fight for democracy exposed the rampant corruption at the heart of Putin’s regime. His assassination sends a chilling message: dissent will not be tolerated. But as Navalny said in his final words “If they have killed me then they are at their weakest”

Today, Ukraine stands defiantly as the gateway to Europe — against Putin’s fascist ambitions. My people’s struggle is not just for their own freedom, but for the security of the entire democratic world. We cannot dither in congress as innocent lives are lost and putin continues to menace the entire free world with nuclear Armageddon 💥

Therefore, I urge you to take immediate action on these critical fronts:

1. Cripple Putin’s War Machine with Crippling Sanctions:

  • Maximally expand and strengthen sanctions targeting Putin’s inner circle, oligarchs, and key industries, including energy and arms sectors, to restrict their resources and hinder their ability to fund the war.
  • Close loopholes in existing sanctions, such as via India/China/Iran/NK, to prevent evasion and ensure maximum impact.
  • Work with international partners to create a united front against Russian aggression by directly calling out his fascism and hitlerian ambitions.

2. Unwavering Support for Ukraine:

  • Increase military and humanitarian aid to empower Ukraine’s defense and alleviate the suffering of its people.
  • Provide advanced weaponry and training to help Ukraine effectively defend itself.
  • Stop negotiating with insurrectionists in Congress by using 14.3 to remove them from their congressional positions in order to get the bills we need passed done!

3. Seize and Utilize Frozen Russian Assets:

  • Transfer confiscated Russian funds to support Ukraine’s reconstruction and compensate victims of Putin’s aggression.
  • Create clear mechanisms for utilizing these resources effectively and transparently.
  • Send a powerful message that stolen wealth won’t fuel more suffering but instead aid in rebuilding and recovery.

Navalny’s death must not be in vain. His fight for freedom lives on in the hearts of Ukrainians and all who yearn for a just world. By taking decisive action on these fronts, we honor his memory, support Ukraine’s courageous resistance, and send a clear message: the world will stand united against tyranny and hold Russia accountable for its crimes.

Sincerely,

Response from President Biden — March 13 2024

Dear Mr. Shurygin,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine. The United States stands with the brave and proud people of a free and democratic Ukraine as they defend their country against Russia’s aggression.

America has rallied our allies and partners around the world in response to the Kremlin’s unprovoked and unjustified war. Together, we have imposed unprecedented sanctions to hold Russia accountable and raise the economic costs on them. We have protected the security of Europe by strengthening NATO’s defenses and paving the way for Finland to join NATO, with Sweden expected to join soon as well, making the most capable defensive alliance in the history of the world even stronger.

While Putin sought to weaken and divide the West with his war, his actions have had the opposite effect. Putin has failed in his effort to subjugate Ukraine, the brave Ukrainian people have defied his will at every turn, and the West has never been more united.

The United States will continue to stand with the people of Ukraine as they defend themselves and our common values of liberty and democracy. We have provided significant military support to Ukraine, including air-defense interceptors, artillery, advanced rocket systems, drones, and ammunition, and we are working together with our partners to train Ukrainian pilots and facilitate the transfer of F-16 fighter jets. We have also provided significant economic assistance to Ukraine so its government can continue to provide vital services to its people. We are the leading donor of humanitarian relief in support of the millions of people who have fled Ukraine because of the war. And we are leading the world in addressing the global food insecurity crisis, which has been made much worse by Putin’s unjust war. We are doing all this while keeping American troops out of harm’s way.

In the face of this brutal, unwarranted war, the courage and determination of the Ukrainian people continue to inspire the world. The United States, together with our allies and partners, will stand firm with the Ukrainian people as they fight to defend their freedom.

Sincerely,

The response to this story aside from general increase in sanctions on Ruzzia has been a consensus by 🇪🇺🇬🇧🇺🇸 to provide 🇺🇦 with 3B in windfall profits from Ruzzian assets every year. While this is not the entire 300B it is certainly a step in the right direction and a demonstration of the fact that representative democracy does work — that your voice does matter!
