Dear [Representative/Senator/White House],

I am writing to you today to urge you to support more budget for the Ukraine war. As we are simply sending old weapons there and creating jobs over here to manufacture replacements. We need to continue to defend democracy over there to strengthen it over here.

It is important to note that Alaska used to be a part of the Russian Empire, and there have already been remarks by representatives of the Russian State Duma to the effect that they “would like it back” If putin is not stopped in Ukraine and the modern security order is is shortly destroyed by him we could be looking at nuclear blackmail over the 49th state of our Union.

As a Russian-Ukrainian and an American citizen, I want to see fascism be defeated in Russia so that Ukraine can rebuild and Russia can start immediately collaborating on climate pollution with the world community. I have supported Ukraine with a 40K donation in Bitcoin at the start of the war. If I can do so much as a single citizen, I expect my country to do more as the arsenal of democracy and win in this history-defining war against a nightmare future lead by dictators unbeholden to laws.

In addition I would like to emphasize that we should also ensure that Israel and Ukraine’s budget should not be split up as Ukraine stands with Israel and vice versa. Our support for Ukraine should be as unwavering as our support to Israel if our promises to our allies are to mean we have the vision to carry through with them to the end.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely, 7

“Proposed National Security Legislation

Last month, President Biden requested Congress to provide over $100 billion to advance our national security and support our allies and partners. The proposed legislation provides security assistance to Israel in the wake of Hamas’ attacks, it supports Ukraine as they fend off the brutal aggression of Russia, and it provides humanitarian aid for Palestinians and Ukrainians enduring humanitarian crises. I fully support President Biden’s proposal to stand with our beleaguered democratic allies and address humanitarian disasters around the world.

The Majority leadership brought the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act to the floor of the House this week and I voted against it because it did not include the priorities of Ukraine or any humanitarian aid. To make matters worse, the bill claims to pay for its spending by cutting $14.3 billion from the IRS. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) found that these cuts would actually increase the deficit by limiting the IRS’ ability to collect taxes from corporations and billionaires who dodge paying what they legitimately owe.”

Contacting your elected representatives works so stand with Ukraine and call or write your own! 🗽
